The travel industry has pulled me back after running my own catering and cake business since Covid.
After booking a round the world trip many moons ago, I put the phone down and thought I could do that job. That trip gave me the bug that never left me and I came back and got myself a job with that travel company that I booked my ticket with.
I have also worked as Cabin crew and truly understand the excitement of getting on that plane or train and setting off for that destination.
What do you like most about working in the travel industry?
Travel is a passion that never leaves you. You have to feed that passion and follow your dreams. That is what I do, if I am not planning my own holidays and tailormade trips, then I like to help customers with their dream holidays.
It is an honour to be trusted with those dreams and help bring them to life.
I love to travel, I love to plan travel, I love to pack the bags, I love to drive to the airport
I love to hear about other people's travel also.
What are your speciality areas?
I would say that I am a long haul specialist, I have travelled and worked extensively in Southern Africa and Asia. I have also worked in the USA and specialised in Australia and round the World destinations and tickets.
However, I am also fast becoming a Greece specialist as I try to travel to every part of it for my personal holidays.
Having worked as a Travel Agent, I will advise on all types of holidays.
What destinations do you love to book for your customers and why?
I love to book Southern Africa as Africa is an addictive place.
Asia is another favourite as I remember my travels well.
Greece is another favourite.
Australia and New Zealand also.
To be honest, everywhere.
What is your personal favourite destination / holiday and why?
My favourite place I think I would still say is Africa. People talk about the smell of Africa and how it just gets you hooked. I was recently asked which place I would like to go back to. Africa was at the top of my list. However, I then thought of Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
I find it very hard to pick a favourite. And Greece is where we choose to go back to time and time again.
